Hello Everyone

I hope you have enjoyed Slow or most of it. Here is a list of questions that I have created. The book did go over quite a few topics so please bring you own questions and comments if you desire.

The author stated in ?In praise of slow? that ?Today we feel more time pressure than ever before.? Is this True? Does the Clock rule our life.

The Decelerators use a German word ? eigenzeit ? to sum up their creed. Eigen means ? own? and zeit means ?time?.In other words, every living being, event, process or object has its own inherent time or pace, its own tempo giusto. Is this true, is our tempo out of focus.

?Few of us have the time, money, energy or discipline to be a model slow foodie. Such is life in the fast-paced twenty-first century. Yet more and more of us are learning to slow down. Slow Food has captured the public imagination and spread across the planet because it touches on a basic human desire?. Is slow food a trend? A luxury for the wealthy? Or the new future?

The author devotes a portion of the book to the joys of reading including different techniques of reading slowing (detailed notes, detailed analysis) Does slow reading interest any one? Do you believe in reading slow

In praise of slow is an introduction to the slow pursuits. Are there any slow pursuits that interested you introduced in the book? Are there any slow pursuits of you own?

The examples of the slow philosophy introduces life changes that may not be affordable to the average consumer. The author states at the end of the book ?It is true that some manifestations of the slow philosophy ? alternative medicine, pedestrianized neighbourhoods, free-range beef-do not fit every budget. Is this a major barrier to the slow movement?

Will the slow movement succeed?

Do you believe in the slow movement?

Just the reminder that the location will be Tequila book worm cafe. We'll meet just inside and than find a suitable place to sit. I will be wearing a brown jacket and Blue sweater. We'll most likely be upstairs.

If there are any questions, or concerns please ask

Cheers
Ian
