March 2013 book poll

From: RK
Sent on: Sunday, January 20, 2013 11:28 AM

Hello Everyone:

Thanks to the 20 people who participated in the SurveyMonkey poll -- your feedback helps a great deal. If you want to see the results which I uploaded in a pdf file, just click on More on the meetup menu, and then Files. FYI (for future suggestions) In addition to this feedback, some considerations for selection for the monthly poll are: availability (ample copies in the library), variety (we haven't already read the book, a book on this subject lately, or by this author), number of pages, popularity (suggested by more than one person or a very similar book suggested), good discussion material (e.g. the book of jokes was tricky).

The poll for the March book is up on the meetup site. Please vote if you're planning to attend in March. We have some old, new and runner-up options. Note that the numbers beside the author represent number of holds/copies (in the library)/pages. For example, (115h/30c/945p) means 115 holds, 30 copies, 945 pages. Take this into account in voting for the books you want.

I'll close the poll on Wednesday in case you want to read up on the books.
