Hello Everyone:

We had a very great discussion on Azar Nafizi's "Reading Lolita in Tehran", with interesting background from an Irani member, and a member who is an English Lit major, among others. Thank you to John for moderating and discussion questions!

The poll for July's book is up on the website. Please vote if you think you may attend. I'll close the poll next Friday, June 7.

A reminder to new members that you can post book suggestions on the discussion board any time. Our current policy is that the book must be available in the Toronto Public Library. There have been some great suggestions for books in the library that have too many holds or not enough copies, so that may be a factor if your suggestion is not selected for a poll, and of course if we've read the book before. Attendance seems to be better when availability is better.

I am considering a book suggestion that is not available in the library but is available as a free download. Contact me if you have any objections to including such books in future.
