Based in the East Midlands, Nonduality Leicester organises and offers open meetings held in central Leicester to share the message of Oneness in a climate of friendship and openness. These meetings aren’t philosophical, religious or dogmatic; they are simply an opportunity to explore life as it is – perhaps with fresh eyes, so to speak. Guest speakers and authors sometimes join us for these meetings to share the various expressions of nonduality.

We call these meetings ‘open meetings’ because they are open to everyone. No one can absolutely know or talk about that which is beyond words. Since language is dualistic, talking about the nondual is difficult.…although we find ourselves trying! And why not? There’s something apparently very freeing, energising and intimate about sharing nonduality. Also, no individual can essentially comprehend ‘THIS’. Commonly we describe and apparently divide this present appearance with second hand concepts, words and lables, yet there is no way to really know what this is. In other words, the word ‘apple’, for example is not what the word points to. Again, life seems to have provided words and concepts, so talking sometimes happens. Nonduality is the realisation that reality is not fragmented as we are conditioned to believe; but in truth undivided, complete and whole. We continuously make distinctions – we divide the whole up into many things – which is very useful but ultimately based on the faulty assumption of separation.
The meetings may (or may not) begin with an introductory talk consisting of what are known as ‘pointers’ which attempt to set the scene. There is then opportunity to discuss and share whatever arises. Sometimes there are words, and other times there’s simply silence. Either way, it’s understood that both noise and silence are equal; both are expressions of the singular essence that all apparent manifestation is borne and made of.
The human condition is that we think we are separate individuals with a past and future. Because of this sense of separation there might at some time in our lives be an urge or desire to feel complete, whole or find home. This search takes on different forms: the pursuit of success, hungering for the perfect relationship or trying to attain enlightenment.

The message of nonduality is that THIS is already home, already complete. You are what you seek. The word nonduality points to the seeing through of the apparent separateness to the eternal oneness, beingness, presence, love (again, words fail us). It’s about awakening from the dream of separation, and seeing the boundless love and freedom that was always here, is always ‘THIS’. Oneness isn’t something that can be searched for or achieved – it’s the true you, it’s all there is, and it’s here now, in this timeless moment. All the love, peace, liberation and wholeness you search for is already here.
It can be seen that life isn’t a problem to be solved but a mystery to be lived. You are life; the vast open space in which all apparent things come and go. This is about the possiblilty of seeing that there are no obstacles to Oneness, that Oneness is already the case and is appearing as everything. It can be seen that the states, such as anxiety, which the individual sense of self cannot tolerate do not block freedom. You are life and life is already liberated, despite the states that come and go. This is the possibility of freedom in life as it is presently appearing.
