Workshop 1: Introduction into Nonviolent Communication

The purpose of this workshop is to show you how Nonviolent Communication can refine and enhance your private and professional relationships. The workshop is practical from the beginning to the end. It is "learning by doing" and "learning by discovery". You will see how you can apply its useful and enlightening approach to emphatic listening and effective self-expression in your daily life when interacting with others. Nonviolent Communication is designed for conflict resolution but it also helps intensifying and deepening communications that are already smooth and enjoyable and it so contributes to mutual understanding and acceptance.

I have created this workshop because I would like to pass on a communication style which has been useful for me and which I believe will be useful for you as well.

Please bring a pen, a note pad and a printout of the NVC_ParticipantsManual.doc. As workings of the meetup will be explained at the beginning I will appreciate your timely arrival. After the workshop we can stay at the Cafe for dinner.

The workshop comes at no charge.

    Dear Hanspeter,
It was a wonderful workshop, i have spread the word ...it will be interesting to have both genders discussing NVC but all in all you did a great job handling a very volatile subject as communication, feelings, needs...
It was a very pleasant safe environment with good structure, guide lines and i believe we all took with us a lot of insight into how communicate feelings and needs.
I hope you will conduct further workshops
It takes a lifetime to learn bad habits so i think it is good to take time to learn good habits.
Thank you for the wonderful afternoon of learning in Basel town!
wishing you lots of luck in conducting more workshops in the future!
Blessings to you and greetings to the others who were there sunday

Had hoped so much to feel better as been looking forward to this all week but I'm going to have to miss this so I can rest. Have changed my attendance so hopefully someone else can jump in. Will read the material in bed and wish I was with you. Have a fantastic session

I have the book , nonviolent communication by rosenberg, is that enough or do i need to print out the manual ?
I would also like to know if this will eventually cost so i can make a better financial decision.
Thank you very much for organizing this important topic and something i was looking into participating in for some time and in English !
Looking foreward to meeting you all
Will bring no dog but lots of enthusiasm

Hi Sigal, you need to print out the manual.

Hi Hanspeter, looking forward to this, thank you for organizing. Just checking the manual now to printout and it is 84 pages - is your expectation for us to have read it all before the session or part of it? Honestly reading all of it beforehand would be a stretch for me timewise. Thanks to confirm which part(s) you'd like us to read beforehand, see you Sunday

Hi Charlie, for the workshop you just need a printout of the NVC_ParticipantsManual.doc.
