    Hi all. Michelle has agreed to our continuing to use the WWMB name on the Facebook group, and has joined us over there. So let's make that our hub for all our conversations in the future. (about this work group, that is. Keep watching Writers Who Mean Business here on meetup.com for the big monthly meetings and everything else Michelle and Bo feel like doing here. Once again, the FB group is called Writers Who Mean Business. If you're not already in, just search FB for it and ask to join. Chad or I will add you to the group.

    Members, I apologize for the mix-up. I had two Meetups scheduled this week and thought the meeting was on the 27th. GREAT apologies group my bad. In five years of running the group I have never missed a meeting. Human error is all. However, if any Facebook group is formed it won't be titled this group as it's our property and not community property. If you all feel dissatisfied with our organization of the group, you are free to form and manage your own group, but it won't be titled Writers Who Mean Business. Again, my bad and I'm sorry for the error. I will, however, be at Thursday's meeting. ~ Michelle

      I'll tell you what. I'm in the busy spring publishing season. You all take it over and keep me as a member. I will show up and listen and jump in and help. But I actually think I like what I see with the management of the group and how you all took it over. It's cool with me if you all take charge and I will literally be a mentor/member. Does that sound good?

      Michelle I'm glad you'll still be a member, I enjoyed meeting you and look forward to seeing you again. I think we should go ahead with the closed face book group for this writers group to post on- mostly because after hearing about all your projects I'm dying to read them. I also love the idea Rochelle had about meeting at a Raley's or Bel air - Folsom does seem central- there is a Bel Air near fifty off East Bidwell - Michelle I don't know if you remember but Pete's closes at 8 on tuesday and I think most of us felt rushed and would prefer a 7-9 meeting or at least the option of staying later. What does everyone think? Also I know the name of the Facebook site needs to change why don't we just have it as writers group for now and we can come up with another name at the next meeting?

    Hey everybody. I was happy to run with the energy we generated last night, but this is Michelle's group and I want to get her back in the driver's seat. As I said at the meeting, she's a publishing professional, and my main attraction to this group is the fact that it's under her guidance. We made a lot of decisions last night that might not mesh with what she wants to do. (Such as using a Facebook group.) We need to give her time to decide how she wants to guide the group. Let's be patient until she has time to sort things out.

    Hi everybody. It was a great meeting! Lots of good energy. So here's what we agreed:

    1. Chad will start a Facebook group to serve as our hub. (He'll need to know your Facebook user name to invite you--it'll be a closed group.)

    2. All of us should feel free to post a representative piece of writing to that group. 3. Nobody has made a commitment to critique anyone else's work yet. We'll have a conversation on Facebook to discuss how we'll arrange giving and receiving critiques. 4. We'll also discuss finding a venue that's open past 8:00 PM. It sounded like Folsom is still a central location for the people we have, but we should check that again. I think that's it. I look forward to seeing you on Facebook.       My husband and I were discussing this on the way home. Raleys has community rooms that we can schedule, and they are open late. Also Hospitals have conference rooms that we might be able to schedule. I did message Chad my name and my husbands name for addition to the group.
