While we believe in setting a casually dressed environment where you can be yourself, we also promote a "dressed to impress" environment where professionalism meets a singles mixer.  Men, leave your egos at home but bring confidence and women come stylish and open to mingling.  "Swank" is a new series in the long line of unique events brought to you by Scenergy Dating that combine flirting, philantrophy, and networking.  Each event will combine both giving back to the community as well as celebrating a specific industry.  The chosen industry will receive a discount off the normal entrance price and special recognition throughout the event.  Take initiative of your dating life by mixing one dash business networking with a shot of style, we hope to see you there!

Singles of all industries and backgrounds are invited and this edition will be celebrating the legal and law enforcement industry.  If you'd like to meet a single lawyer, cop, or anyone else in the legal/law enforcement we are encouraging their attendance with a special discount ($5 at the door with proof) and recognition.  We appreciate what you do in representing the people and keeping our community safe, now it's time you relax and meet like minded singles that want to meet you.

Expensive, no law professionals ( and I circulated a lot), tiny space- like a corral, drinks were still expensive, and poorly organized. Fortunately people were nice.

I'm with Kelly by saying let's move on, after awhile the comments on here are saying more about the character of the person than the event itself. Professionals to me is not just a marketing phrase, but what I wanted to target with this event. Working in both a corporate environment and being a military officer, I embraced solutions to something that went wrong rather than just the problems themselves. Anyone can complain but offer me smart solutions because if not it just creates negative feelings and nothing is solved. For example, what media sources can I spend money on that target single lawyers in Austin? You have no idea how much patience, courage, and integrity is needed for me not to to take things personal but I do it because I care to improve not quarrel. On the other hand I truly believe some folks will never be satisfied and I must accept that. Goodnight folks and please excuse my long winded ways.

    Too small, not well organized.

Thanks Stefan, however I should have worded my opinion differently. I've never planned an event, but I can understand that it can be difficult. So thank you to the staff for trying.

I actually do care that's why I'm here responding. I'm not going to concentrate on negativity and instead on solutions to make it better. I could easily ignore all this but I appreciate the positive feedback, constructive criticism, and everything in between. Every Scenergy event has a different theme and I'm proud of the job Whitney did.

It was great meeting everyone; however, I thought we were going to rotate among the crowd.

Every Scenergy mixer has a different game that is explained in the body of the event description. Last night we encouraged the use of the "Call Me" cards and next event will be definitely more interactive and structured. Some folks like structured events, some like less structure, some like speed dating, and some do not. We just hope to continue offering different types of icebreakers that are away from the norm while attracting positive and quality singles. An event is just as successful as the people that show up, we hoped many more that RSVP'd would of been present.

Hi Jonathan! I was there, I helped check you in! Sorry to see you left before the raffles. We had plenty of space indoors but everyone seemed to prefer the outside because of the surprisingly nice weather. I was inside mostly, trying to check people in and talk to those who seemed nervous. I'm sorry I didn't get much of a chance to chat with you tonight, I hope we will see you at a future event. Our next event will feature a more interactive mixer game, that might be a better fit for you!

      January 23, 2013

    • Jonathan

I think there was some confusion. The people I spoke with including myself thought Christopher was the host. I guess because it said host by his name. Oh hey and Christopher no ones playing any games it was an opinion, you don't like it ignore. Whitney I'm sorry I didn't know you were the host. I appreciate your comment. Next time I'll get my facts straight.

Thank you for the compliment, Whitney put in work to prepare for this event and she did great. Kelly did an awesome job promoting it and the house was packed.

    Christopher,
Will there be more women than men? Just wondering...

    • Christopher F.

I'm not being rude or sarcastic when I say this but please come find out. Some folks look at the list and expect that's who exactly will show up. Then at the event men bring their male friends and are wondering where all the women are at but they got too caught up in a virtual RSVP list and stayed home. We've had people ask about numbers and then show up to a crowded event and talk to no one. Come on out you'll have fun!

    What's the other group Christopher?

    January 23, 2013

Hope you can all make it out combined with the other meetup group we have teamed up with we are looking at already over 70 confirmed RSVP's, even if some of those don't show up it should make for a healthy crowd. Come out and see for yourself!
