Let's meetup for some board game fun!  I plan on bringing Settlers of Catan, Small World,  King of Tokyo, Apples to Apples, Guillotine, Kingsburg, Saboteur, Jenga, Dixit, Yahtzee, and The Resistance, just to name a few. Feel free to bring a game of your choice. This event will be a cross posted event with a few other groups, some are singles groups, some are not.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Do I need to know how to play the games before I attend?

No. Just come out and have fun! Our members are friendly and willing to teach you the games.

Do I have to show up right at the time the event is scheduled?

No. We usually play several games in one outing, so just come out and join in on fun! Also, you are not expected to stay for the full duration of the event either. Stay as long as you like.

Do I have to play a game?

Again no. You are welcome to just come hang out and watch. After I've gotten my gaming fix, I like to just check out the other games being played or socialize with guests.

As far as food goes at this venue, I recommend the Italian sandwich. I also hear that the chocolate cake is really good. Michael is a fan of the chocolate peanut butter rice crispy treats.

If you get lost or you are running late and wish to tell me, you can reach me at[masked]-4132. I do not have a smart phone so I cannot check emails once I leave my apartment, so call or text me on my cell phone. Hope to see you there!

I have never come out for one of these board game events, but they seem like they would be fun and a great way to meet people. I have come out to some of the dance nitghts with NAS, so I only know a few of the NAS members, but I think this might be fun, so if it is ok for a newbie to come, I would like to join you'll.

Just so you all know. This is shaping up to be a big event. We have quite a bit more than the 11 signed up here coming Saturday. How many exactly? Well, it is always hard to say because every event in every meetup group generally has a few no shows, but all in all right now I'm looking at 80 sign ups and this is the most I've ever seen yet for any event I've hosted. Also, this is the first time I've invited both the New to Austin group and the Austin Introverts Group. Plus it's getting colder outside so people are probably going to be looking for indoor activities more this time of year.
