I have a personal tradition of going out to photograph the landscape early in the new year. Come join me in getting back to nature after the rush of the holidays are over.
The itinerary of this outing is rather flexible due to the unpredictability of the weather conditions on this date, but it will most likely take place in West Sonoma County or West Marin County. Anywhere between the Russian River in the north and Muir Beach to the south. We will wander and explore the far backroads, possibly photographing oak or redwood forests, hills, or rugged coastline. I will determine the itinerary a day or two before, based on the weather.
While you are out shooting, let me know what kind of workshops you would like to see me offer in the new year. What themes, subjects, techniques, locations, topics are you wanting to know more about.
A heavy steady rain will cancel this outing, anything else and we're good to go. You will be informed the night before if it looks doubtful we can go out.
What You Will Learn:
This outing will be very informal due to the inexact itinerary and large number of participants expected, but I will be happy to answer any questions you may have out in the field.
WHERE: West Sonoma or West Marin (we will meet at my studio or at a pre-determined rendezvous point near the coast).
DATE: January 1st, 2014
TIME: Noon to Sunset
CLASS SIZE: As many as want to come...
We will start out from my studio and go west to the first rendezvous point...
This outing is free of charge. To register, just send me an e-mail telling me you are coming, or register through this Meetup page.
Additional information will be provided upon registration. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lance.
