Henry V and I couldn't find anyone painting so we went to the bluffs at School House Beach. The weather was warm and still. The overcast was beautiful with blue sky peeking through it. Left at 3 and never saw another painter. Great day.

That's a nice small and rugged beach in Jenner! I'll have to take another drive up that way, I'd love to paint in that area too :)

Got there about 1240,looked around for folks but only found Gloria. Set up hopeful for a break, got some sunshine and a finished piece on the lagoon just past Westside Park. Now to figure out how to post it!

Lots of interesting spots, didn't notice the sprinkles had started, under the cypress trees. Met new to us artist, Blaine, who stopped & spoke with me, another 2 painters I saw on a drive around and up to the head….for a hike and then chowder at 2, saw Janet who paints with Monday Morning Painters sometimes, (now Monday Morning Painters Sonoma btw)….sorry to be anti-social, wondering if anyone got together?

Got too hungry, jammed some home to hubbie. Didn't see Gerald, Serjio, Char, et al. Crazy busy on a Sunday, glad I can go during the week.

Hi Marcy, It was quite busy at the Head, lots of hikers. The parking lot filled up quickly. I saw you painting as I drove by. Looked like a great view from that road! I didn't see Janet but I saw a total of 5 other painters (including yourself).

Amazing day at Bodega Bay! First rain, then dense fog, then rain again, then sunshine! But no wind on the bluff. Was able to finish. Will post photo soon.

The weather was quite interesting. Light drizzle, fog, rain for half hour and sudden burst of sun. Looking forward to more photo and painting uploads! From the progress paintings I saw from the distance they already look wonderful!

Started off with light drizzle in the morning. I drove all over looking for other painters... from Porto Bodega Marina, to Spud Point Marina Parking Lot and up to Bodega Head. I saw Marcy painting just along Westshore Rd. I saw another painter set up on hill to Bodega Head (think it was Bernell). Saw Iris set up at Bodega Head parking lot. Drove passed Sergio while headed back down to Marina. I may have seen another painter walking along Spud Point Marina.... but at the end of the day saw Mark set up near Mason's Gas Station.

Thanks to all the painters that braved the rain and fog! I met a painter that was visiting all the way from Montana! Had a nice chat since she was painting close by.

I left early since the fog rolled in and I lost my view. I look forward to the next session. I couldn't find anyone in the morning, so I drove up to the bluff and painted the ocean.

Bernell, still got your name wrong, sorry. Interesting weather day for sure. Plein air-tenacity points to you.

Been out to this spot recently-low tide, then water racing in! Bringing Carol Myer w me-think she's a member too. Get some chowder early-the line gets long! See you about 1130.

Sounds good to me, a favorite area, loving the cool days, & wind forecast not TOO bad right NOW. So the bay views, boats, a few cypresses, buildings, NOT the ocean.

I believe I can make this session. Stoked. Not sure what the area we will be painting is like is it more ocean/ mountain scene of marina bay scenes?

Hey guys, just so you know, we are meeting at the big pullout near the marina, just in case the lot at the top of Bodega Head is full.

Old Lakeville Road #3 is definitely one of our favorite locations! We'll definitely paint here again! But for now we head to the coast :)

Sorry to miss this - guess we are not meeting on 27th this month?

    1 · July 14, 2014

    • Gerald

Hi Linda, sorry the 27th didn't work out for the coordinators :) Hope to see you next time!

I'm available on the 20th. Will go where ever. Point Reyes would be good. How about Pierce Point? I can't go far with my equipment, but we could paint near the cars there. Of course, there will probably be fog and/or wind to contend with. Keep me posted.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
