I got back to Tony's Market right before 4 pm, and did not see anyone in the group there.

I got there a few minutes after 4pm, and Gerald was already there when I arrived.

Beautiful gorgeous warm day out there, until about 4pm when the wind and fog picked up. We went back to town but didn't see anyone else. Gerald and I chatted about the meetup group for about an hour until we decided to leave. I think that in the future we won't skip the initial meet-up, and also keep the official area not so open-ended.

Sorry we missed it. We will probably go to Stinson Beach during the week a take our little dog with us. He has not been to the beach yet. I will collect some sand to us with my students in a painting. I have already prepared the watercolor paper with white acrylic Gesso over it. I will mix up some watercolor paint in small squirt bottles. So they can squirt on some of the paint, drop on sea sand in certain areas for the beach and use their brushes to make waves and land. I have down this before at a workshop in Santa Cruz and it is lots of fun. I also have some techniques on making waves from artist in Sweden (Anders Andersson), Michigan (Nita Engle) and Oregon (Susie Short). I will check out Stinson Beach for parking locations, rest rooms and eating places. Also, I will take lots of pictures and post the best on Paint My Photo website so all can see.

Looks like I have to head up to the mountains to winterize my cabin before the freeze comes (so my water pipes don't burst). Sorry to miss out on this one! Enjoy :)

Just realized that the California Art Club is painting at the Marconi Center Park this weekend! I'll see if we can get something coordinated with them for Sunday. It's going to be beautiful out there this weekend, so I hope to meet up with a bunch of them.

Hi, I'm looking forward to painting with you all at some point.
Sadly not this Sunday. Does anyone have a suggestion for
a good plein air location in southern Marin for about 6 people?

Char are you from Tomales? Beautiful place. The little park has a nice barn and some picturesque trees. If you drive down towards Point Reyes station there are some nice views of that bay or whatever you call it.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
