North Bay Trails and Tails

Weekend hiking with the canine companion(s) and socializing with other hikers in the community. One doesn't have to be a dog owner to be a member; just someone who likes hanging around dogs and the outdoors. Since I'm still learning the area, I will be posting dog-friendly hiking trails from www.bahiker.com, but other suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

 

My partner and I have a senior Corgi, so most hikes will be low-key and fall within beginner-to-intermediate levels. The majority of the hikes will fall between one to two hours. Feel free to hike longer/shorter if you want, and to set your own hiking pace (Zin and I tend to walk slower because of her knees).

 

This is a FREE Meetup group, and I have no intention to ever charge a membership fee. Summer hikes will tend to start at 9 or 10 am because of the warmer weather. The rest of the season we will have hikes with start times of 10 or 11 am. I am partial towards Marin County and East Bay Regional Parks, but I also try to vary the hiking regions as much as possible.
