Dear Vegan Meet-up Group,

John Robbins is one of my personal heroes ... (the classic: Diet For A New America, and more recent: The Food Revolution)

I will be assisting at this event -- sure hope to see you there!

Friends and colleagues,

Please join us for an inspiring 40th Anniversary event on Earth Day Eve, Wed., April 21, at the Brower Center (event flyer attached).

The theme is "Creating a Healthy FutureWhere Do We Go from Here?" It's clear this will only happen if we can partner and collaborate more effectively, combining our strengths. The presentation features:

An inspiring keynote presentation by John Robbins and his son Ocean, on the "Wisdom of Partnership."
You already know John from his bestselling books that have revolutionized awareness around food that is healthy for people as well as the planet; Ocean is the founder of Youth for Environmental Sanity (YES) and a powerful young man in his own right.

Mark Dubois will present the powerful new collaborative initiative Four Years. Go. (600 orgs and counting) which has just launched, along with its great trailer video. This initiative has Weider & Kennedy behind it, the largest independent ad agency in the world, and may be our best hope for an international organizational network in which all are working in concert for the same vision.

I (Vinit Allen) will present the official public launch of the Sustainable World SourceBook and our Pay It Forward campaign, getting the book and it's message of justice and sustainability out into the world.

The evening opens with a reception, appetizers and wine, live music by Shambhu, and plenty of time for networking before and after the program. The entrance fee of $15 includes a copy of the SourceBook.

If you're in the Bay Area, don't miss this great kickoff to Earth Day.

in partnership,
Vinit
