INFORMATIONAL POSTING -  Do not RSVP here.  Below is a link to sign up for the class.  If you are not a member of Survival Preparedness it's a good central location for many events in the county.  RSVP-ing here will not save you a space in the class, use the following link:

WORKSHOP SERIES:

CANNING, DEHYDRATING AND SEALING METHODS

How to hot water bath and pressure can.  Different types of canners.  What is pressure cooking.  What you can and cannot can.  Advantages of canning meats.

How to dehydrate, types of dehydrators, how to without electricity. How to seal dried foods without electricity or without oxygen absorbers. (If you want, bring a 12 x 10 or smaller type sized mylar bag, couple canning lids and a jar to practice the sealing of dry goods w/o electricity). Will have home dehydrated samples to taste.

Will have samples/dehydrating/canning/sealing equipment there on display.

Printed handouts will be emailed on everything taught a few days before class so you can begin immediately.

This meetup will be in the North county at Diane's home in Fairbanks Ranch.

There is a $10 fee (no checks). Which includes a DVD full of info and a file to print out for class.

There needs to be a minimum of 15 people before a date is set.
I will need an email address to send files to since meetup emails don't allow me to attach files.
Class will be about 4 hrs. long and we will practice sealing methods after the presentation.

I always have a name tag contest at my meetups so make at name tag and win a great prize!
I ask everyone to bring an appetizer for 5 people to share.

If you are interested, I also bring items to purchase that I keep in my Bug Out Bag/backpack.
Let's do it!!

    Hello N. County Preppers!
In a week I will need emails (not meetup emails) and reconfirmation that you will be in the canning class. I need the emails to send the files and info on how to get in the gated community.
Please let me know ASAP if you are NOT coming.
There is now a waiting list and if you don't come then let someone else in.
If you don't reconfirm you will be deleted.
    Thanks all,
    Sue

I can make June 22nd work, however I was hoping to attend the Palomar Amateur (Ham) Radio Club field day event from 12 - 2pm that day. Is 6/29 an option?

I agree with Dawn, late part of June would be good for me as well. Will check with my sister to see if she can make it.

This is definitely a topic that interests me. The only thing that would change my RSVP would be the date. I vote for a date in the latter part of June.

    Thank you so much Woody.
If you RSVP on the Survival Preparedness meetup site then a commitment is expected.
I understand that this meetup site is just to see who would be interested.
Look forward to going to some of your classes.
