As part of their "Make-a-Difference Monday" program, the good folks at Quaker Steak & Lube have committed to donate a percentage of our food bills to the Love For Kids charity! They'll do that whether you come out for lunch (between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.) or for dinner (between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.), as long as you mention Love For Kids and put your receipt in a jar that will be set up for that purpose.
To make a fun meetup out of this delicious opportunity to support a very worthwhile charity, let's plan to meet for a group dinner and some conversation and camaraderie at 6:30. Just ask for "Tony's table" when you get there. But if earlier (after 5:00) or later (before 8:00) is better for you, or if lunch will work out better for you than dinner, come on down whenever you'd like. (Just remember to mention Love For Kids and to ask where the LFK jar is.)
Members of the LFK Board of Directors (including Dating Differently members Joanne Boyce and I) will be there to do a raffle, to tell people about this wonderful charity, and to encourage diners to mention Love For Kids to their waiter or waitress.
If you'd like to know more about this restaurant (try the wings or the ribs!), go to TheLube.com/locations/texas/plano, and if you'd like to know more about LFK, go to www.LoveForKidsInc.org, or scroll down to April 19 on our NDDD home page to check out (and sign up for?) an LFK charity event later that same week!
So why cook on Monday, April 14, when you can come out and let the generous folks at Quaker Steak & Lube cook for generous you, while all of you help support a great charity?
See you there!
