Since I am able to have a game every Thursday, I have decided to rotate our 3 current games, a different one every Thursday.

For our other events, I leave it to you! Yes, that's right, not only do you, as the first responder, get to choose the venue, but you can also name the game! When you RSVP you will be asked to make those choices.

The choices are:

  • Jeu de Tarot (French)
  • Scarto (Italian)
  • Tapp Tarock (Austrian)

If you are brand new to the group, I would suggest choosing Jeu de Tarot, since it is our main focus, and is relatively easy to learn.

Note that I am allowing the use of MAYBE RSVPs now. However, MAYBEs will not be counted as YESes when it comes down to me deciding whether to call off a game due to lack of responses, so when you change your mind to definitely YES or NO, please update your RSVP accordingly! REMEMBER, as a general rule I decide 48 hours before a game whether to keep it scheduled or cancel it, so always try to make a definite decision by then. If you RSVP with a MAYBE, I will try to always send a reminder email 72 hours before the game that you need to make a decision one way or the other. MAYBEs are to be used as a temporary RSVP only, and should always be changed to a YES or NO prior to the 48 hour cut-off time.

I am looking forward to playing a lot of games this Fall and Winter, and I hope you all are also.

Cheers,

Gary Brunger, Organizer

Actually, we went to the Starbucks nearby instead, and that's always a nice place. Good for just 2-3 players I think - more than that I think we might be too loud for other people who usually frequent the chain.

Who attended?

  • 2 attendees
    •  I liked the new 2 Player Tarock game! Nice change from Scopa. =)
    •  It ended up that we played at Starbucks, and since there were only 2 of us, we tried a 2-player Tarock game caled Scarecrow, or Strawman. It was fun, and it will be nice to have a fall-back game for two, just in case.
