This is a group for happily married couples and couples in long-term committed relationships over 40 looking to strengthen their marriage by making new friends in the North East San Antonio area (Schertz, Cibolo, Converse, New Braunfels, Universal City, Garden Ridge and surrounding areas). This is an adult group so all activities will be “child free”. Please don’t get me wrong- we love children, we have 3 grown children of our own. However, we strongly believe that having adult couple time is the key to strong marriage. So if you have children you will need to arrange for child care when attending our club’s events. We will have at least 2 events per month; one public event so that prospective members can attend and one private event for members only. The private events may be held at members’ homes and/or in the community. Our events may include day trips, happy hours, backyard bbq’s, swim parties, day at the lake trips, weekend getaways, movies, cruises, theater, kayaking, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, antique shopping, country dancing, seasonal events, pot-lucks, fine dining, tailgating and more! We encourage couples to post planned or last minute events on the discussion board at any time. Whatever you want to do can be arranged! This club is oriented towards long term friendships and as a result it’s not for everyone. It is not a swingers club or an X-rated club. This is just an old fashioned “couples gang club “who enjoys hanging out and laughing out loud at themselves once in a while. The existing group members will vote on all new members. We're after quality, not quantity. The requirements to become a member are: 1. Reside in the NE area of San Antonio, Antonio- so you can reasonably frequently attend our events- Attending at least 1 event a quarter is required unless there are extenuating circumstances. We hope you can attend more frequently. After all, when you make new friends they enjoying seeing you. 2. Submit a profile and questionnaire, including a reasonably identifiable (portrait style) picture of the couple as their PRIMARY photo for this group and maintain it at all times so people can recognize you at events. 3. Attend at least two public events. 4. Each partner of the couple must be a reasonably civil, polite, friendly and totally non prejudicial people. 5. Receive at least 75% of the vote of existing members. Since Steve and I are new to the San Antonio area so we are looking for at least 3 other couples who want to help grow this group.
