Tennis with Confidence, Composure & Consistency!

This is a weekly Saturday morning meetup for up to eight players who would like to up-level their games through contemplating basic tips from the classic game while participating in skill enhancing drills.  The average NTRP rating system ranking for attendees in these meetups is about 3.0 with about a plus or minus .5 variation.

My apologies for putting up this meetup a little late.  I am now organizing two meetups and had put up a schedule for several months recently, and thought it was done for this meetup.

One of the things that I intend for you to achieve by means of these meetups is flexibility, the understanding an error can be like a blip on a screen that need not become the defining statement on your abilities.  Rather, as a former mentor of mine used to say, "let it roll off you like water off a duck's back."  There are countless means of bringing your attention back to the current moment, to the next ball that is already upon you.  We make multiple errors when we stay stuck with the shot that is over, even a second ago.

Another important skill we need to cultivate is the ability to identify just exactly what we are doing when we initiate or respond to a shot, so that adjustments are not only possible, but simplified.

Anyone that attends my groups with an open mind, ready to possibly look at their game from a slightly different perspective is usually pleasantly surprised. I think you will be as well! Usually the final half hour of any group comprises doubles play or other appropriate competition.

WEATHER NOTE!  In the event of heat wave conditions, if there is space or availability to play at an earlier hour, I will try to make that known at least twenty-four hours ahead so that we may have the option of playing even earlier in the morning.

Beyond that, I have been conducting round robin competitions several times a year for at least the past twenty-five years. In less than two weeks on Sunday, July[masked] pm one will take place at Plummer Park in West Hollywood.  Another will be held at Griffith Park Vermont Canyon courts, the next of which will be August 18.

Finally, please feel free to join us at Hollywood Tough ~Love~ Tennis Teams, where there are many discussions also underway.

Please be in touch with me through one of the message boards, through comments or rsvp for this meetup, or through email. I will only exchange phone numbers with you through email.

If this meetup is ever full and you really wanted to come, you can contact me here to see if there are alternatives. Did you notice that we have a 'Novice Player Meetup' scheduled for Sunday morning, for instance? There are a few interested players, though none have committed yet. I think they need to become members first, LoL! That 's a hump for some at times.
Keep making it an outstanding day!
