When did you start playing games? Is it a longtime hobby, a renewal, or a new interest?

Been playing since I was a knee-high to a Monopoly token!

What are your current favorite board games? What "new" games are you looking forward to playing?

I'm a fan of too many to mention: Power Grid, Ticket to Ride, Gutshot, etc.

What type board games are you most interested in playing (Euro-style, strategy, abstract, trivia, word, party/team) or do you like to play a variety of games? Does this include card, tile, dice, etc? If so, which ones?

I'm mostly into RPGs and miniatures games but am looking to play more social and party games, including Trivia, discussion, and strategy games.

Which local and/or online stores get your "Gaming Gold" (aka "your money")? Do you purchase mostly from online sites, local gaming stores, major retail stores, private/individuals or through resale?

Swords & Superheroes, Fat Ogre

BoardGameGeek is a Great online resource for game info! BGG is NOT a store, it is a Resource for info. If you have a profile on BoardGameGeek.com, what is it? If you don't have one, why not go and create it now @ http://www.boardgamegeek.com

Already a member and my collection is listed under the username: mmitchell_houston

Introduction

I've been an avid gamer for many years and I'm just trying to get out there and socialize with folks with similar interests. I'm also a game publisher and co-cowner of Hawgleg Publishing. Our first game release was Gutshot, a Wild West game.

What Mike M. is saying about this Meetup Group

This is a really good group with a diverse set of gamers attending. We play everything from Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, Shadow Hunters, Saloon Showdown, Princes of Florence and also lots of different games. In fact, I usually wind up playing at least one new game each week. Newcomers are always welcome, and we have plenty of patient teachers willing to show you the ropes. So, whether your first Euro Game or your 500th, come on by and join in the fun.
