Introduction To Shamanism With Kathy Ferris
IF WEATHER IS BAD ON FRIDAY, confirm the status of this program on this website after 5PM. Check then for a weather related cancellation, if necessary.
Shamanism is the world’s oldest spiritual practice, dating back tens of thousands of years. Shamanic practitioners journey to non-ordinary reality to the beat of a drum, and meet with helping spirits for information and
healing. Drumming and rattling allow us to achieve an altered state of consciousness outside of time and space. Shamans have acted as healers, doctors, priests, psychotherapists, mystics and storytellers. Anyone with an imagination can learn to journey and find that many new worlds will be opened to you!! Come and join me for an introductory session on Friday, February 28. For those of you that are interested in developing your knowledge and skills further, I will be offering a two-day workshop on March 1 & 2.
Kathryn Gates-Ferris is an interfaithminister and graduate of the One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. She also completed Foundation for Shamanic Studies' advanced shamanic training program, completed Reiki 1 & 2 training and is currently enrolled in Jin Shin Do accupressure. In addition, Kathy is a certified hypnotherapist and has trained with Delores Cannon (Quantum Healing Hypnotherapy Tecnique), Roger Wolger, Paul Aurand (Michael Newton's program) and the American Hypnosis Association. She also has a Masters degress in Public Administration from New York University and has worked in the field of public health for over 40 years.
