Tomorrow's meetup was tentatively scheduled at FNC, but we're meeting at the chamber of commerce instead. They've generously provided the space and they have a fantastic conference room there. Details are on the meetup site.
Tomorrow's presentation is on how to build a robot for your personal amusement and edification. Robotics research is a truly interdisciplinary field that combines mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software development, and fabrication. The presentation will be like a crash course these fields as they apply to robots you could personally build. We'll learn the basics about robot taxonomy, control, motors, sensors, CNC machining, 3D printing, CAD, electronic design, board fabrication, and of course software/programming.
There's a lot to cover, so we'll start right at 5:30 so we can be wrapped up in time. Can't wait to see you there!
