A Game For Good Christians

I just received a new card game from the makers of Cards Against Humanity that is a blasphemous christian version called A Game For Good Christians.

So if your into a heretical good time lets meet at Round the Table on Tuesday.  It's a all ages retail board-game and craft beer store that has a small ice cream parlor inside.

Hello Seattle Atheists and Agnostics! I'm an independent religion journalist writing a story about A Game for Good Christians and I'd be curious to know what you thought. Would love to hear from you at [masked] --thanks!

It's quite encouraging to hear that people are playing – and hopefully enjoying – our game! If you get a chance, we'd love to hear about it: [masked] or by leaving a note on our website (the form at the bottom)

I wanted to clarify one thing, though. While we do love us some Cards Against Humanity, and the two games do play well together, we are NOT affiliated with them in any way.

Hi there! Thanks for taking an interest this group that played your game at one of our recent meetups. We had fun and enjoyed it. Some of us at the table are writers, and so it was hard not to wish that the answers could be more grammatically correct endings to the questions, meaning that if the question required a noun as an answer, but the only cards in our hands were verbs, (or vice-versa) then it was hard to come up with a suitable or funny answer. It did spark some good conversation though!

I ordered a couple great new party games for large groups that look like they will be hilarious!

I would loved to have gone, but am busy on Tuesday evenings. If there's any chance you could play again on another week night that would be awesome.

Great idea -- and just the right group to try out the new game! Thanks for organizing the event. It was my first time ever in a "gamers pub" but I feel we were welcomed and assisted graciously. Funny that we were put in the back because they thought we were Christians, but once they found out we were atheists, we were told we could sit out front! :-)

I hadn't thought of that, Julie, but come to think of it, they were more relaxed when they found out we weren't Christians. I hope to see you again soon at another meetup.

It was actually me who chose to sit in back. It was funny though how he thought we might get offended by their blasphemous talk out front. They just hadn't put it together I guess because I had shown them the game and told him who we were before.
But they liked us and thanked us.

The game shop tweeted that we were down there playing it and the maker of the game re-tweeted it!

I am an agnostic that has become a confirmed atheist.
Oddly, I am married to an inactive Lutheran pastor who is still religious. I often ask him questions about Catholicism and Christianity. I moved to the Bothell area about 16 months ago after retiring from the Washington State Lottery.

To make sure I don't get lost getting there, can anyone tell me if "Round the Table" is where Blockbuster used to be, near Subway and Little Ceasars? I used to know the area well, but I've been gone a long time and with so many businesses changing hands, things look a little wacky to me!

Yes, it's right where blockbuster used to be.
