Come and share a poem, a story, a song; or just a welcoming and listening ear...

"If a novel is winter, and a short story is a snow storm, then a poem is a snowball, squeezed."  ~ Bruce Dethlefsen

I thought last nite was an amazing night of poetry. Everyone's material was really on point! I especially enjoyed the serendipitous alignment of theme and subjects that occurred from poet to poet...sort of amazing, really. The people there for the first time really brought some great work...

...hey, as a fine poet said last nite...there are only 2 ways down, and I don't fall a lot! I thought that summed up the evening perfectly!

I am so sorry, I will not be there next Thursday! After 5 intense weeks of caring for my Mom every day, my son and I are going to take a much-earned vacation the last week before I return to work. Sorry to not see you Maddie - we've missed your readings! Sorry to not hear all of you! :) Hope it's an enjoyable evening, I will be there next time...
