Fans of quality live music getting together at local venues primarily from Marblehead to Portsmouth; sometimes Boston/Cambridge, and sometimes out of town. Meetups will include a variety of music types including rock, country, blues, jazz, bluegrass, folk and more. Typical North Shore venues are The Landing in Marblehead, Red Rock Bistro in Swampscott, The Gulu-Gulu Cafe in Salem, The Grog and Glenn's Cool Bar in Newburyport, The Dolphin Striker and The Press Room in Portsmouth NH and many more!
Musical taste is subjective of course, but I "try" to schedule events with some level of artistic elan - you won't find many "wedding bands" on the schedule here. Fyi…North Shore Fans of Live Music is geared toward music lovers with a genuine interest in musical artists presenting their art. It is not a “singles” group masquerading as a music group, respectfully keep this in mind.
Specific Meetup details (where/when/how to meet) will be emailed the day of event only to those who responded "yes". If you will not be checking email the day of event, feel free to email me a day in advance for the plan.
Meetups are subject to cancellation if a minimum of 2 or 3 people in addition to organizer have not responded "yes" a day in advance of event.
During bad weather, Meetups maybe canceled, emailing to confirm is a good idea if the snow is flying.
When is Muriel Anderson coming to Boston?? She is an amazing Nashville picker! She and Duke should do a show together!
Extremely cool...Live From Daryl’s House (Daryl Hall)…an afternoon at Daryl’s country home in upstate NY jamming with Monte Montgomery (pictured above)…too cool!

Save the date! Chris Duarte coming to Mal's Lounge in Haverhill on Sat March 6, 2010...now we're talking!! Can't miss this one! I guarantee he will be melting the snow on the ground this night!
The Grog usually has about a $5 cover charge.
Get your funk on!!! Evan Goodrow is awesome...modern soul/funk...always a great vibe when Evan plays The Grog! Even if you don't dance, you'll be dancing! Evan plays and sings with a lot of soul - the band is tight and they get a serious groove on! They have great synergy......it works! Great sound system at The Grog as well. Should be a fun gig!
