Looking for a unique way to spend Labor Day weekend this year...well this is it: Inn to Inn Icelandic Horse Riding Experience.
Drive up to Vermont on Friday night and check into the quaint Mad River Inn. Have a drink, walk around the grounds and meet new friends. Saturday we have breakfast and transfer to the Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm where we have an orientation to our day and our furry friends and we set off on a beautiful scenic ride among the Vermont farms and woods. We break for lunch, rest-laugh-and then return for an afternoon ride. It will truly be over the hills and through the forest-it doesn't get much more beautiful than this! Saturday night there is dinner prepared for us at the Inn and rest or an early evening hike. Sunday we have breakfast and again mount our furry, sturdy friends for a last morning ride.
Information about the trip can be found on the horse farm site at:
Price is $550pp double occupancy (singles available see site for information) and includes Friday/Saturday night lodging at the Inn, horses/guides/helmets, breakfast/Lunch/Dinner on Saturday and Breakfast and Lunch on Sunday. Some riding experience is requested...if you don't have any-we can set up a Meetup for some basic riding instruction. Payment is made through the horse farm site directly and is subject to their refund policy. Any questions-call the Karen at the horse farm-she is wonderful: [masked]-7141.
I have tried for 3 years to get into one of these trips-they sell out fast. I am going with a friend and wanted to extend the invitation for others to join us. It is a unique experience that you will enjoy....friends, Icelandic horses and memories!
Be unique-go Icelandic Horse Inn to Inn Trekking!
