This is kind of last minute, but the weather is supposed to be nice Saturday and it would be a great day to walk in the park. Every Fall Maudslay State Park in Newburyport hosts a themed outdoor sculpture show. This year the theme is "Intertwine" and the opening reception is this Saturday. There are usually about 20 artists with works spread throughout the park with a printed program to follow and learn more about the pieces. Some of the works are truly AMAZING!
After that, if people are interested, there is a free performance of The Canterbury Tales there in the park by the Theater in the Open at 2 pm. http://theaterintheopen.org/content/canterbury-tales/
If people are still game (or if there's no interest in the play) we could go downtown for some fabulous pizza at Anchor or maybe just sample some of the RIDICULOUSLY creative and tasty cupcakes at Eat Cake! http://eatcakeonline.com/todays-cupcakes/ and take a walk on the boardwalk or around the shops.
We'll meet in the Maudslay parking lot (parking is $2) on the benches in front of the restrooms (the little building at the back of the lot) in case anyone wants to use them before we stroll.
We LOVE Newburyport!!!
