St. Vasilios Greek Festival 2013

After the Danvers Craft Fair, let's go check out the Saint Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody, MA at their Annual Greek Festival. The Greek cuisine will be abundant with such favorites as Roast Lamb, Oven roasted Lamb Shanks, Greek Style Stuffed Peppers, Baked Haddock, Pasticchio, Moussaka, Authentic Gyro with Tzatziki, Souvlakia and Spanokopita, as well as a full bar. And don't miss the delicious sweets that await you in our Kafenio - Baklava, Diples, Galaktobouriko, Kourambiethes, Finikia, Greek Coffee and liqueurs and everyone's favorite Loukoumades!

For those who love to dance, live Greek music will fill the center on Friday and Saturday nights, and a performance of traditional folk dancing on Saturday should not be missed. The Shopping and Vendor Booths will offer jewelry, clothing, religious items, fall décor, plants, pumpkins and other various merchandise to browse and buy, and the raffle gives you the chance to win a week’s vacation in a 1 bedroom condo as well as other wonderful prizes. A children’s room with organized crafts and live entertainment will ensure fun for kids of all ages.

Parking and admission are FREE.

Wonderful food and treats! Not a lot of crafts, vendors or while elephant items. I know I have enough left over food for a couple of days. : ) They were very generous with the portions and at very fair prices. Thanks Vicki for posting this event. I think you have a good plan for next year, to do this later as a dinner/dance event.

You can go at anytime until midnight! I can only go around lunch time, but it's fun anytime. The dancing will probably be in the evening.
