HIKE BREAKHEART LOWER LAKE - WAKEFIELD SIDE

Hi Ladies:

Me and a few friends are going to start hiking 2x a week (trying for Mon/Wed.)

We are going to time ourselves and try to improve a little each time out.

The trails we are going to start on is the LOWER LAKE trail, it starts almost directly out of the parking lot of the voke.  Takes about 50 min.

It is not at all tar, all off road trails, some stumps and rocks but a really nice trail to hike.  Hiking boots are recommended as is a walking stick if you have one.  Members have work sneakers and been fine.  Bring water and bug spray may be needed.

THIS IS A NO DOG EVENT DUE TO THE TRAILS BEING NARROW WITH LOTS OF OBSTACLES.

When we get this trail down pat and at a good pace we will move to another trail that is a bit more challenging.  There are many great trails at Breakheart:)  We will continue until we are ready for the Skyline Trail...once we master that we plan on doing some weekend mountain hikes.

If you've been thinking about getting of the couch and in better shape you should join us!  We are at moderate level.  With that being said  those who attend need to be able to comfortably walk 2-3 miles at 20 minutes per mile. otherwise, the hike may be too difficult.

Please keep your rsvp's updated, no shows will be marked as such.

A fast pace with laughs for some and a slower nature hike for others -- bull frogs, more lady slippers, and those goslings are getting so big!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
