THE DATE IS CHANGED FOR MOVE IN TIME, THE DATE OF FAIRE IS MARCH 29th. If we set up on saturday morning its 6AM to 8AM and we must be show ready by 8:30!! I am going to be arriving Saturday morning very early to set up.
This is the banner we will have in front of our booth and at future meetup events.
I've received word from the directors at the Tyler Maker Faire. They will be providing an 8ft table and two chairs, also access to electric plugs. I am going to ask if we can have another table or two for displaying a couple of drones. I will be bringing a tv to play an rc simulator for people to try, but if someone else has a tv they could bring it would be cool to show off some of our video in action.
Im going to do my very best to get a banner made to put on the front of our table for more pop. They asked me if we could possibly do some kind of demonstration on the main stage after epybirds, which from what I understand are the guys who made mentos and coke so popular. If we have someone with a smaller quad and an fpv setup we might be able to show people what these things are capable of and their humanitarian uses.
Below im adding the move in/move out schedule and rules they sent me, but this is the basics:
• We are encouraged to move in on Friday, March 28th.
• They will have overnight security.
• move in time from 5pm to 9pm.
• maker check in will be open to get our passes.
• check in is at the main desk at the tyler discovery science place.
Email Me or Comment below with what you can bring/ or plan on bringing!
We have signed up to present and put up a booth at the Tyler Maker Faire on March 29th. We are looking for a few members to come and help set up and spend the day showing people why what we do is so cool!
sactioned event and all of its SOP's and Guidelines will apply when representing us as an entity. In other words, be careful what you say about how you fly or where you fly after someone knows that you represent the Drone User Community.
All seriousness aside this should be a really great chance for us to promote this great hobby and have a lot of fun in the process!
