RE: [North-Texas-Drone-User-Group] Photo Shoot Opportunity! Multirotor operator and rig needed

Sorry to hijack this but there are so many serious gaps in Ben’s requests and thought processes:

1.        Extended/unplanned time over water with other competitive boats/fisherman and lake wind

2.       “Don’t have the time or funds . . .” but wants free assistance.

3.       6 hours’ worth of batteries?

4.       Public posting of video for profit from UAVs on a website you don’t own/control?  Wonder how long it would take for the “letter” to arrive . . .

Sorry this sounds more like a craigslist ad . . .

Subject: [North-Texas-Drone-User-Group] Photo Shoot Oportunity! Multirotor operator and rig needed

I'll just make this easy:

My name is Ben Cartwright, and I run a youtube channel while going to UNT, Collegiate Match Fishing. I'm contacting you after finding your meetup in an attempt to find fpv quad operators. I have a big match, later in October and I was wanting to add some aerial shots and flybys to the video. Alas, I don't have the time to learn or the funds to purchase a rig of my own at this time. So I'm looking for individuals that would volunteer their time and resources for some cross promotional and credited work on the most popular college "non traditional fishing show" on youtube (not like there's a lot of competition).

What I'm asking for is some references for that would possibly help us out, I would greatly appreciate it, as it presents a pretty good challenge for an operator and a credited contribution. The operator would ride in a chase boat and follow the match, primarily staging for establishing shots and doing the occasional eye level fly-bys. The match is 6 hours with time time outs and half time break for lunch. So shooting day will be about 7 hours. It will be on a North Texas lake and I can arrange for pick up so driving won't be an issue.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

This would definitely be a challenge for most of us.  Its also a great opportunity to test your rig.  I've asked him to come to out Saturday (five days from now!) Fly In.  Any takers??
