Really enjoyed last nights session on ATTD - great to be learning a new language (Ruby), in a new IDE (Ruby Mine) on a new OS (Mac)!

We good some great pairing going on with just enough keyboard rotation.

1 problem - I'm not sure I can wait 2 months for the next one! Anyone fancy getting together next month to do a second session? Try & keep the information fresh!

A suggestion for subsequent session included Continuous Integration. Sounds good to me - taking our worked example & putting it in a CI pipleine would be ace.

Thanks for a great session guys!

Thanks for coming yesterday folks, hope you enjoyed it.

I have updated the app with our progress from yesterday, and included my slides from the workshop.

It can all be found here:

http://github.com/alg...

There are instructions for pulling it down onto your local machine so you can see what we did and have a play with it - but I appreciate for those without development environments set up on their machines getting it all up and running may be a pain - especially ruby and git setup on windows.

We'll try and package it all up in a virtual machine to simplify everything. Grab yourself a free VMware player below:

https://my.vmware.com...

And I'll post a link soon to where folks can find an image with everything already set up on it.

VM is up!

Download it at:

https://dl.dropbox.co...

extract the vmdk files and vmx to the same directory, and open the vmx file using vmware player.

You may need to tweak the VM settings in the startup menu to give it more RAM and CPU if you can spare it

RubyMine will automatically start upon login, and a terminal will open and kick off the tests.

Enjoy!
