Wow, is my face red or what?!? I just went to a place called The Shakedown, thinking that the Pitch Fest event had been scheduled to meet there, not at The Underground. (It was an honest mistake, since 1212 N. State isn't all that far from 211 E. Chestnut Street.)
Shows how familiar I am with the whole bar scene in Bellingham, LOL! When I got there, I thought that it was a strange location for a business networking event. I knew that the official Feb. 26 event had been cancelled, but Angela had said that it still might be a chance to network with others interested in business, so I knew that I was offtrack when I asked a few random people, and it was clear that none had a clue what I was talking about.

OK, you've persuaded me to come, Angela. But I've noticed that you are not among those who have sent an RSVP yourself. If you think it's a good idea to go, shouldn't you be one of the people who sent an RSVP?

Oh goodness, very good point. I will click RSVP now. See you there and I am looking forward to meeting you.

When I clicked "Click here to RSVP", I got a message saying that the event had been cancelled. "Cancelled: February Pitch Fest

Due to an unfortunate and unexpected injury of a RedRokk team member, we have decided to CANCEL the BIG Idea Lab’s February Bellingham Pitch Fest. For attendees and presenters who have purchased tickets, they will be redeemable at the March Bellingham Pitch Fest. If this is inconvenient please email Angela at [masked] for refund options.

Thank you for your understanding and please keep our staff in your thoughts and prayers. Stay tuned for next month’s Bellingham Pitch Fest."

I guess that it's no tragedy that I didn't really have the money to attend anyway.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
