Bike ride on the (new) Neuse River Greenway

Come for a 15-25 mile bike cruise on this new, paved greenway that eventually will follow the river from Falls Lake all the way to Clayton, NC !  Mild grades, beautiful river scenery and wildlife, and no car traffic to deal with.  Upper 60s on Sunday !  Bring your own bike, protective gear (helmets REQUIRED) water and snacks.  Intermediate-advanced level, due mainly to distance.

If no other sign-ups by tomorrow night, I will reschedule this ride.
In part because I don't know how far SOUTH it is connected.

I'm flexible, Paula, esp in a group, and given that we'll be "exploring". I just didn't want people expecting to noodle along at 5 mph, and then turn around after 20 mins :)

Besides: If I want to "go to Warp" for a sustained interval, I can do that before or after the ride. And this route is pretty easy to follow, in the event that somebody DOES need to cut it short.

    Hope you can attend !

Quick question... I bike a lot, but I don't bike fast. My typical rate is 8-10 mph on flat paved surfaces. I have done many 25-35 mile rides, but it takes me several hours. Will this be a no drop ride, or should I venture off on my own.

This would be a LOT of fun. I've RSVP'd yes, but really I'm a maybe. I will know for certain by Saturday if I can join you or not. Thanks for setting this ride up!

Road, mountain or hybrids will all do OK on the paved trail.

I generally cruise at 12-15 MPH, so be sure and take off the training wheels. :)
