Hike San Jacinto via PS Tram

Hey Everyone,

This is a very fun hike with an awesome view. I would consider it an intermediate hike since the tram is doing most of the work, but it is still at altitude once you get up there. From the tram station, it is about an additional 2000 feet of gain over a six miles to the peak. Once there, you will have an incredible view of the valley and the mountains. This is a hike you should not miss.

We should meet at the Park and Ride at 76 and 15 at 7:00 am. This should put us at the tram in Palm Springs a little before 9:00. As always, give me a call if you are running a few minutes late or if I am running a few minutes late.

Map to the PS Tram.

See you out there!

The high temp at the summit is forecast to be around 50 degrees on Saturday. No wind forecast but I wouldn't place any bets on that. Dress and layer accordingly.

Anyone interested in connecting up this hike with the palm springs to the top of the tram hike (8000 feet gain) earlier that morning can e-mail me from my profile.

I saw this notice on the Tram website... You sure it'll be open?

"The Tramway’s annual maintenance is scheduled for
    September 10-23, 2012, tentatively reopening
    September 24, 2012"
