Discovery Lake to Double Peak is about 5 miles round trip with 1000 feet of elevation gain of well groomed trails and paved surfaces if going all the way to the top and back. Run, jog or walk as needed to improve your fitness on hills.
These runs are for all fitness levels and are geared to get you in shape, or help you stay in shape, as well as prepare you for the upcoming outdoor adventures. The hill running/climbing is a must for training for the adventure/mud runs. Plus, trail running strengthens your ankles big time.
