Monday Evening Hike & CLEAN Limerick Share-Bernardo Mountain in Escondido

What better way to celibate Daylight Savings Time than a hike beside beautiful Lake Hodges and up to the peak of Bernardo Mountain?

To top it off, I'm making this a limerick hike.  Perform an internet search of "limericks" and either memorize your favorite one or two or write them down.

Please keep the limericks clean.  There are some really funny clean ones floating around in cyberspace and there's no reason for you to lower yourself to my level ;-)

THE HIKE:

We will meet at 6:00 P.M. and start hiking promptly at 6:15 P.M.

This hike mostly winds along the north side of Lake Hodges and then heads up Bernardo Mountain.  It will be about 6 miles round trip with 800 feet of elevation gain.  It's not as difficult as Iron Mountain, Mt. Woodson or Monserate Mountain but it's fun, scenic and rather convenient for most people in the north county.

In the "FILES" section of the "MORE" dropdown menu above, I've placed a google earth file of where we will park and meet.

We will be finishing this in the dark so be sure to bring a flashlight.

See you there!

It was great meeting you all last night. Just so you know I planted a very powerful microphone under the table before I left so I could hear what you all really thought about me. I'm going to brew some coffee and throw it on in a bit. I'm just kidding. I don't drink coffee.

There once was a hiker named Chad. As a leader, he was pretty rad. So he posted a hike, that lasted all night. And a cool group of hikers was glad. ;-)

Alright everybody, I'm giving a 48 hour limerick notice. Don't forget! NO LIMERICK- NO HIKE
There once was a hiking meetup group
one of the member's had to poop
    With no bathroom in sight,
    they hid in the night
when finished they let out a great big WHOOP!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
