What better way to celibate Daylight Savings Time than a hike beside beautiful Lake Hodges and up to the peak of Bernardo Mountain?
To top it off, I'm making this a limerick hike. Perform an internet search of "limericks" and either memorize your favorite one or two or write them down.
Please keep the limericks clean. There are some really funny clean ones floating around in cyberspace and there's no reason for you to lower yourself to my level ;-)
We will meet at 6:00 P.M. and start hiking promptly at 6:15 P.M.
This hike mostly winds along the north side of Lake Hodges and then heads up Bernardo Mountain. It will be about 6 miles round trip with 800 feet of elevation gain. It's not as difficult as Iron Mountain, Mt. Woodson or Monserate Mountain but it's fun, scenic and rather convenient for most people in the north county.
In the "FILES" section of the "MORE" dropdown menu above, I've placed a google earth file of where we will park and meet.
We will be finishing this in the dark so be sure to bring a flashlight.
See you there!
