This is a leisurely, less demanding hike at Suwanee River State park the day after the more intense hike.
This is an amazing property, one of my favorite in the state park system. This is part 2 of 2 of a mega-hike weekend at Suwannee River State Park. It’s a bit of a drive, but this is a hike experience will not forget!
Interested in exploring some of the shorter trails and cultural resources this park has to offer? We'll check out civil war earthworks, abandoned bridges, gushing springs, and vistas of the river. We will hike a couple of short trails, probably 5-6 miles total. Hikers should budget at least 3 hours for this activity.
Bring a pack with snacks, 3 pints of water, bug-spray and shoes suitable for walking long distances. The park has vending machines, restrooms, and water.
This is an entry-to-intermediate level hike open to hikers in good physical condition. Let’s meet at the main day use/picnic area at Suwanee River State park.
