Seaton Creek Historic Preserve Opens!

This is not a FTA event, but we support this trail. If you can, looks like the opening ceremony will be really special. I hope they appreciate our blazes! See below:

Please join Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown, City Council member Ray Holt, JaxParks, and TTPF for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of Seaton Creek Historic Preserve. WHEN: Monday, March 3 10 a.m. (NOTE: It will take approximately 15 minutes to drive from the park entrance to the ceremony location. Signs will be posted along the way. Please plan accordingly.)
The Florida Society of the Sons of the American Revolution color guard will present the colors during the event. Guests are invited to enjoy the trails afterwards. Horses and bicycles are welcome. For additional information about the ceremony, contact Pam Roman at (904)[masked] or [masked]. Once inside the park, follow the signs to the ceremony destination. It is approximately a 15 minute drive from the preserve's entrance to the ceremony site.

Visit for a map of the trails.

I was there in my capacity with St Johns River Alliance. It was well attended w city, park and fl forest svc officials and interested citizens. The property is very nice, couple trails already marked.

But, if you are able to attend, please make sure the
City of Jax folks know you are with the Trailblazers group! We deserve some recognition for the work we've already done on the trail.
