The financial report is in, and we actually cleared $304. Proceeds were donated directly to the FTA. The organizers didn't put this together as a fund-raising event, but as a chance for new and old members to meet and enjoy a great day at Goldhead. However, it is nice that the response was positive in a financial way, too! Special thanks to Tom McClain, who donated all of his hot dog sale money to the conference.

It would be a shame if the re-route the trail away from this area.

I had a wonderful time at the conference and enjoyed all the presentations. Thank you to all of you who helped make this happen and for all the wonderful comments. Sorry I couldn't stay up as late as I would have liked to with the campfire group. We got up Sunday morning and all the girls at the cabin decided that we weren't ready to make an end to our fun so we went over and hiked the FL Trail at Etoniah State Forest. We had a wonderful time. Can't wait until the next hike!

This is another section of the FNST under consideration for re-routing by USFS. I had never been on this section and wanted to see for myself. It is a very beautiful section!

What a great weekend! The speakers were informative and well-prepared. We had guests from USFS, and the FTA president, Carlos Schomaker even dropped by. The best part was just having time to share some laughs with new and old FTA friends. The potluck was delicious and plenty.
Special thanks to Judy Trotta and Janie Hamilton for their hard work!

This was my first FTA conference and I really enjoyed it. Thanks to the team that worked so hard to put it together and to everyone that made it such a wonderful event. The dinner and dessert really hit the spot. Personally I want to thank everyone that made it out to my presentation. If you have any questions feel free to drop me an email at kudzu @ idratherbehiking.com. I'll post a comment here later pointing you to some info I forgot to handout along with other info about the knots and other stuff you would have gotten from the Powerpoint.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
