Website Hackathon

Create some cool website functionality for fun and prizes!

Custom Heat, a local business, is looking to create a community makerspace/hackerspace, "CH Proto", and they need a website.  And as a nod to the community they want to host it in-house, on a Raspberry Pi!  The problem is, they don't know what they want on the website.  Should they have:

• An animated 3d gallery of projects?

• A mobile calendar app for reserving the workshop?

• A claw machine that is controlled via the website?

We are inviting anybody interested in web development to come down for a hackathon to help inspire them.

Here's how it will work.  We'll get Apache or nginx or even NodeJS running on the Pi and install any additional modules to run your language of choice (mod_python, etc.)  You bring your laptops and programming skills.  We'll give you 5 hours and pizza/drinks to hack something together.  Whoever creates the coolest thing (and is willing to let CH Proto use their code for their community website) will win their own Rapsberry Pi Model A w/case or a 3D print of their choosing (subject to approval)

11:00 am - Networking
11:30 am - Brainstorming
12:00 pm - Start hacking!
2:00 pm - Lunch
5:00 pm - Demos and prizes

See you there!
