Northwest Sailing Association, a social sailing club with members in Chicago, northern IL and northwest suburbs, invites all sailing enthusiasts to their monthly meeting, Monday, September 16, 2013, 7:30 pm. Our guest speaker will be Lou Bruska, Great Lakes Cruising Club, who will talk about cruising Michigan's west coast and the North Channel. Fresh from a month long cruise, he'll detail various harbor towns and give tips on taking an extended cruise. He'll also talk a bit about the Great Lakes Cruising Club, a volunteer-based organization that provides information about harbors throughout the Great Lakes.
We meet at Arlington Heights Historical Society aft meeting room, 110 W. Fremont in Arlington Heights. Three blocks from Arlington Heights Metra station. Ample free parking. After a brief business meeting, enjoy refreshments and socializing followed by Lou Bruska's presentation. Q&A follows. Continue socializing afterwards at Eddie's Pub nearby. Organized in 1975, NWSA is comprised of sailors with boats and those without boats who want to crew. More info at http://www.nwsail.com
