Northwest Sailing Association, a social sailing club since 1975 with more than 200 members in Chicago, northern IL and northwest suburbs, invites all sailing enthusiasts to their monthly meeting, Monday, January 20, 2014, 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm, Arlington Heights Historical Society aft meeting room, 110 W. Fremont in Arlington Heights. Three blocks from Arlington Heights Metra. Ample free parking.
After a brief business meeting, there will be a break for refreshments and socializing, then you enjoy a presentation by guest speaker Karl Olson of Olson's Classic Yachts about Getting Your Brightwork in Line.

While attending meetings is free, a membership application and payment of dues is required in advance of the sailing season to join us in actual sailing events planned for the 2014 season which runs from May through October with lots of weekend sails to choose from.
Dues cover your participation in all of our 20+ sails and special members-only events at no further cost. Dues are $35 for one adult 18 y.o.+ and $40 for a Family of Two adults 18 y.o.+. Application form at nwsail.com.
NWSA members participate in sails from many Chicago harbors as well as Waukegan, Northpoint, Kenosha and Racine. We also have several special event sails such as a Moonlight Sail, Across the Lake Sail and Start of the Mac Sail. Additionally, we have trailered sails that take our members to Lake Geneva, Green Lake, Lake Mendota and Bangs Lake, among others.
