      Hi Walt - In Fl we can grow year round so we don't need root cellars as much as folks that can't grow in winter at all (up north). Fall and winter are the easiest seasons to grow in Fl as you don't have so many pest to fight against during the cooler seasons. Also, eating foods that grow seasonally generally are better for our bodies as the trees / plants / foods correlate with your bodies needs for these seasons.
