What better way to usher in the beginning of summer--which officially begins at 1:04 a.m. on this day--than by sharing the joys of a countryside ramble with a few friends?
The hike will be about 4½ miles in length, taken at a moderate pace. It will include a few hills and 2 creek crossings, so wear wetable shoes and bring hiking poles if you have them!
We will leave from the lot that is on the corner of Alexander & Dunham Roads. We'll be passing through the Alexander Bike Lot (for the Bike & Hike Trail) at approximately 6:30 or a bit later, to take the Sagamore Creek Loop Trail heading W/SW.
Following the hike there will be the option of celebrating the solstice on the patio of Tinker's Creek Road Tavern. (It might be a good idea to bring a change of shoes.)
