Snowshoe or Hike at Squire's Castle

Cleveland Metroparks will be offering snowshoe rentals on this day from 11 until 2:00, IF  the snow is 4" deep. Staff will give some basic snowshoeing tips before we head out to the practice trail on our own. No pre-registration is required. Rental fee: $15/pair, CASH ONLY.

Print and bring completed waiver if you can.

No special boots are required, but waterproof footwear is suggested. Layer your clothing because it will be a workout, sure to heat you up!

If the snow is not deep enough, this will be a winter hike.

We had perfect conditions for snowshoeing - So sorry the road conditions kept many away.

Temp was just right, and we moved at a comfortable pace. About 6 miles over 1.75 hrs. Getting there was harrowing on the roads, but not bad out on the trail. Thx Lynda.

I have confirmation: We are definitely on for snowshoe rentals! The temps will be higher :-) but they're saying windy, so be sure to wear enough layers!

Hoping the weather forecast holds up for staying in the 20s because if it does, I am forecasting a good time:)

I'd like 10 miles! Thanks for the info. I'll have to pass on this one. Timing won't work for me.
