EVENT SUMMARY / UPDATES (04/18/2013 7:45 p.m.):

  • This is a repost of an April hike that includes camping at my "secret" spot along with Schroon River!  You can swim, have fires and party all to yourselves at this spot (so long as it's still secret!).
  • This event includes a car spot and a hike along one the Adirondack High Peak region's lesser known natural wilderness areas.  It also includes bagging two 46er peaks, Giant Mountain and Rocky Peak Ridge, one of the most beautiful, memorable hikes in the Adirondacks.
  • On Day One we'll try to get Catamount Mountain if we have time (and energy) remaining -- I'll be with Mike and he'll need a boost up a six-foot chimney -- in advance, thanks for your help with this!
  • There's a slight chance you'll need headlamps to reach all these peaks ... so be sure to bring lamps, extra batteries and check your lights before you go!
  • This is a dog-friendly hike (i.e., Mike is coming along!).
  • Be sure to view, print out and take with you route information from the links contained within the event post.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
