    EVENT SUMMARY / UPDATES (04/10/2013 10 a.m.):

    • This event is part of a two-day camp / hike weekend including ascending up to SEVEN 4K White Mountain peak (the following day is the Tripyramids / Mt. Whiteface / Mt. Passaconaway hike).  We'll meet at Exit 31 Friday evening and set up camp somewhere along Tripoli Road, depending on group preference and size (CLICK HERE for information on camping along Tripoli Road).
    • You can hike Mt. Osceola and the Mt. Osceola - East Peak and return to the camping spot or throw on one for 4,000-footer for the day, Mt. Tecumseh.
    • There's a slight chance you'll need headlamps to do all three peaks ... so be sure to bring lamps, extra batteries and check your lights before you go!
    • This is a dog-friendly hike (i.e., Mike is coming along!).
    • Be sure to view, print out and take with you route information from the links contained within the event post.

Hi Bobby, are you still planning to attend this event? Circumstances have changed and I may wind up cancelling and / or changing this.

    July 21

It all depends on the weather at this point (as these events always do) ... I was trying to put together a carpool and (also) as always, people are being non-committal. Would you want to ride in my car and combine gas costs?

Looks like I need to be in my sons school this Friday evening for a ceremony related to his internship so will not be able to make it :( hope you guys have a great time and I can't wait to hike in New England - hopefully soon!!

It is still a maybe for the Saturday's hike. Hopefully I will be able to make it :)

    June 21

  • Bobby

    Hello, just wanted to check:
    a) is there an option just to do OSCEOLA and return back?

    b) can I meet you directly on the trail head on Saturday morning?

    June 20

    • Bobby

Sorry you already mention that a) is ok in the event description. I guess b) should be fine too - since you have that in the Sunday schedule :) My apologies for not reading the description.

No problem ... the main thing is, you finally read it!

One last thing, don't forget ... TAX FREE SHOPPING!

    April 12, 2013

  • Julie

Please note, the meetup time and location is for organizing cars in advance of camping ... there is a $20 / weekend fee for camping along Tripoli Road, so the more we are able to carpool the better. Also, the Osceola Trail / Tripoli Road trailhead is a fee area -- you'll either need a parking permit or pay $3 using the self-serve kiosk. Permits for a year are $20 or $25 / two people ... so buy two and split it with a friend! You can get permits at the White Mountain Visitor's Center just one exit up, Exit 32 -- it's right at the end of the exit ramp.
