My name is Julie and I hike a lot! I am always accompanied by my best friend Mike (and he don't need no stinkin' leashes!).
My climbing log: http://hudsonvalleyhikers.com/National_Northeast_Highpoints.htm
Mike needs Eisenhower and Monroe for his 48er. I've got a few more W46 to do, then I want to start picking away at the W111. I have one more of the NEHH to do, Fort Mountain (it's a long story). And I continue to work on the US High Points; I have 30 so far -- it's a lot of fun!
I like pictures of people having fun on the trail.
I use my cell phone and a digital camera I found while hiking in the Adirondacks.
A lot of my photos are on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/JooolesM
I'm relatively new at this point, but I feel sure it's a well run group and I'm looking forward to attending more events in the future, whenever they fit my goals and schedule. My dog Mike always hikes with me, so that's another factor!
Hello Juile, Nice to meet you and welcome to our womens adventure club! Wow 650 points, that is very impressive! I hope you enjoy our group and hope to see you at some of our events :) I am always open to any suggestions for future events, and I'd love your input as well.
Welcome to the Syracuse Area Outdoor Adventure Club! On behalf of the SAOAC leadership team I wanted to introduce you to our philosophy of embracing the outdoors year round. John Muir, nature's interpreter, said it best... "Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world." Welcome to our world and we're glad to have you in it! Hi Julie, Thanks for joining! Dogs aren't allowed on the ADK hikes I've been leading, or loose in the High Peaks area. But I lead a lot of off the beaten path hikes and bushwacks that Mike would love, and I don't think anyone would mind him if he's well mannered, and doesn't want anyone's lunch except for yours...
Hey Julie: Thank you for organizing low Presidential range hike. It was an extremely enjoyable hike. I have provided very positive feedback for the hike. It was my pleasure to hike with you. Hope to see you soon!
Hey Julie, I just joined the group & I saw the trip to the white mountains coming up. I would love to attend I run alot of my guided trips and teach rock climbing in the white mountains. I have actually hiked from one end to the other on several occasions, so I know the area better then most & never pass up a chance to go back ESP with new friends to be made on the trip. I was just wondering if there is going to be any car pooling as my car is being rebuilt and I duno of it will be done by then
Thanks Julie for the tips. I just moved up here from NC and I don't know if I have all the proper hiking gear. Is there a particular type of hiking shoe that is better than others?
Julie, its been awhile since we last spoke and hiked together (killington?). Hope you are well & Michael.
