It can be:
◦A lovely stroll, with children and pets,
◦A fitness hike,
◦A way to learn how to read a map and use a compass
◦Or a competitive race.

Come on out and Meet Us! A Great way to learn all the fun orienteering experience!

A Great start of my day to enter the second Orienteering at Sailor Bar of American River parkway.. a new location for all of Us.. I really like it but lots of killer rock piles to take control.. lot of slow downs in some spots because of tall grass while running through. I had trouble finding one checkpoint #10 and gone a little too far instead of running back down the trail i ran through the brush and tall grass and rocks.. .. got there .. there were many pockets between the thick dredge rock piles.. then #11 got me a little confused and I quickly found it right away .. then off to the last three.. I found a couple of fred tail hawk feathers in the thick grass while running through it .. it gives me a little luck to fly myself to the last 2 checkpoints.. It was good to see Alan Walls out there with the kiddos.. another warm day - on the next event .. our meetup sign will be posted for all of you to check in .. Thanks for coming out . I hope you all had fun!

My first orienteering! Finish the beginner course in about 40 minutes. A beautiful location. How do I volunteer for the next one? I can help streamline the registration process.

Was planning on arriving there with a friend at about 9:30, since starts don't start until 10. You will find me because Im probably the only one wearing a bandana as a skull cap. Assuming Im going - but it will be just a walk. Still havent recovered from the last O. No poison oak but light jogging did me in. Im thinking it is not good and hoping that waking about 3 miles is ok.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
