_______________

Let's explore what others have done.  We'll tour Two Acre Wood, a co-housing community in Sebastopol, to get a feel for small town living.  Friday night we'll have dinner, host's treat, and stay over in their community house.  Bring bedding and an air mattress or sleeping foam.  On Saturday we'll tour Occidental Arts and Ecology (oaec.org), a long standing community and educational center based on environmental principals just a few miles from the coast in the coastal mountains.  I'm also working to set up another tour of a permaculture community in the area.  So come and let's start learning!

More details will follow.  RSVP's are required.  We will be setting up carpools, so indicate if you need a ride or are willing to drive.  Contact Lesli for location details at [masked].

Great in spite of the slightly inclement weather on Saturday.

Exciting new development. There is another Northern California Meetup for intentional communities based out of Sonoma County. Christian, the organizer, contacted me and we're looking into adding another Intentional Community tour on Saturday afternoon in Sonoma County. We are waiting for a formal invitation, which we may not have until Friday night, but should you be interested, please leave time through early evening. We'll accommodate a lunch stop between Occidental Arts and Ecology and Monan's Rill.

I can attend Two Acre Wood for dinner and conversation, but will not be staying the night. I work in Sebastopol, so I'll meet you all there. I also will not be joining OAEC as I have already been there and they are a contract site of mine.

OK folks, we're confirmed Two Acre Woods for Friday, dinner starts at 7 and for Occidental Arts and Ecology Center for 11am on Saturday. Max is 15 Friday night. We can add another 15 Saturday 9am at Two Acre Woods. To cover dinner and tour fees at OAEC, there is a $20 fee. If we get more folks, then the $ will drop. I would be happy to carpool, but I'm going over early Friday to help with cooking dinner.

Don't forget a sleeping pad and sleeping bag.

Lesli - I agree with Raines. A discount with EBCoho, and giving folks an idea of a what it will cost for food (or byo?) ++ . Maybe $10 each for the OAEC plus lunch/dinner costs? where would we eat?

I'm open to this, I'm just checking with my friend on how many are welcome. I had sold this tour as small group of 10. I'm seeing if there is a cap and what that may look like.

So Occidental Arts and Ecology Center charges $100 for a private tour. How interested are folks in this tour. Are folks willing to split the fee based on who shows? Let me know so that I can confirm there is someone available to give us a tour.

Lesli, let's talk - Cohousing California could advance the OAEC tour fee if we can charge for the whole tour and get our other MeetUp groups involved.

oh, and I forgot to mention - of course with a good discount for all the folks here who are bringing it together. But something to cover food and outreach costs.

Sounds great Raines! Yes - let's work together. I wonder perhaps if Dan with Laytonville can join us... although that's a bit of a drive from Sebastopol. Perhaps there will some interested people for that also.

This is very exciting. Let's work together and arrange tours of the nearby Sebastopol cohousing neighborhoods while we're within walking distance (perhaps a breakfast at one of the two affordable communities nearby?), and set a fee for ingredients so we can make a common meal toether. How many can go on this? We'd like to cross-link with Cohousing California and the new North Bay Intentional Communitines MeetUp.
